X-Ray Mod 1.12.1/1.12 is an easy to install and use, highly configurable, and very useful mod for when you are mining. It is now compatible with Minecraft 1.12.1/1.12! This mod, created by AmbientOcclusion, is compatible with vanilla Minecraft, modded Minecraft, Forge, and LiteLoader. It includes fullbright, cavefinder, configurable coordinates, and much more! The mod comes with an installer and does not request a Forge API. Simply double click on the downloaded file, and select a profile to install it into. However, if you double click on the X-Ray Mod installer, and it opens a .zip or .rar archive, you will need to right click on the downloaded file, and go to Open with → Java(TM) Platform SE binary.

X-Ray Mod 1.12.1/1.12 is really an awesome modification that I used to enjoy a lot while playing on servers. Basically, the X-Ray Mod highlights different ores in different colors, helping you find valuable gems to mine. You can easily toggle X-ray view with the X key. Each gem/ore has a different color (i.e. gold is yellow) with an easy to learn color scheme. However, please note that you must be carefull with this type of mods, ad you can get banned on most servers.

How do I change what blocks are visible?

Press the keybinding configured to open the XRay GUI (Graphical User Interface) – default is J. Inside the user interface you can select or unselect blocks to be visible, and create or delete additional XRay profiles.
