Shaders Mod Overview
Shaders Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2 is a custom modification also known as GLSL Shaders Mod which adds realistic effects to Minecraft. This is the base mod for all shaderpacks created for Minecraft. Reading this page is a good start for anyone wanting to download and install shaders for the first time. For those who just want to quickly download the mod, just go to the download section down below.
Basically, the Shaders Mod allows you to enable optical flares, buffers, shadow map, normal map, and specular map features which, in other words, makes Minecraft way more realistic and pleasant to play. The only downside of this mod is that it requires a pretty strong configuration with a very powerful graphic card. If you don’t have a gaming computer or a very good one you might not be able to use shaders mods and shaders packs without losing loads of FPS. If you’re one of these players who’re tired of the same, pixel-styled and cubic look of the game, you’ll probably love the Shaders Mod.
Shaders Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2 adds a vast pool of astonishing graphic features and options to Minecraft. It adds a lot of details and things players often don’t pay attention to. Now everything in your world will be beautiful and amazingly designed. When was the last time you stopped what you were doing to take a look at a tree? With this Shaders Mod, you may find yourself taking notice at natural aspects in the game that would otherwise be overlooked. The GLSL Shaders Mod for Minecraft 1.12.2/1.11.2, 1.11, 1.11 and other versions is also easy to install and compatible with a lot of other mods. You won’t understand what a big deal the compatibility is unless you’ve been modding Minecraft for a long time. Many mods can totally break the game when you try to use them in tandem, so this is a nice touch.
Please note that the GLSL Shaders Mod is not a standalone shaderpack, it’s the base mod that’s required by almost all existing shaders packs and shaders mods. You need to install this mod first in order to enjoy shaders. After installing GLSL, feel free to download and install any shaderpack according to your will. However, always keep in mind that it may crash your game so make sure to save your worlds first! Unfortunately your FPS will suffer a lot. This is why I recommend to install OptiFine as well. It’s an amazing optimization mod that can help you gain some extra FPS thanks to its FPS boost settings and options.
