What is Natural Baby Animals Mod 1.12.2?
Animals are not brought into the world as adults — at least not the way we know it. They start as babies, and Natural Baby Animals mod 1.12.2 wanted to add that touch of realism to Minecraft.
Baby animals are very adorable, and it is definitely a huge drawback for the game not to have one in its repertoire. It’s practically the reason why some modders decided to add this feature themselves.
What to Expect
What else to expect in this mod pack? Nothing, but very cute animals. They do take a while to grow, and they don’t yield as much as adult animals. It makes the game a lot more difficult.Even so, it is not game breaking. It just adds a touch of realism which gives a really huge impact to the otherwise dangerous, complex and exciting world of Minecraft.
Random Baby Animal Generation
Not all animal spawns appear as babies. It’s just that half of the animal spawns will be babies that will require time to become fully grown ones. This kind of setup will be difficult for the players who need resources. It still slows down the pace of the game, but not by that much. It makes gameplay more immersive as a result.
The animals will take some time to grow, and they also have different growth rates. You can’t expect a calf to be an adult as fast as a chick.
Natural Baby Animals mod changed the textures of the spawning animals to be smaller, have a wider forehead, smaller, single-dot eyes. The best feature it added is a lot of cuteness in it. The baby animals are very similar to the baby animals in real life, except that they are in Minecraft style.
It might be really tough to harvest from these little fellows. In addition, it takes more than a day for most of them to grow up into adults.
The rate that a newly spawn animal will be a baby is 50%, and their growth rate is also preset. Currently, there is no way to alter these values. If you choose to get this mod, one out of two spawning animals will be a baby. It’s a good thing they did not do the same for mobs. No one likes to see a tiny zombie or skeleton especially when they burn in the morning.
Hopefully, this mod can make gameplay more enjoyable and exciting. Some might even consider just watching the baby animals until they grow up. It might be great if you got a secure and safe place from mobs.
At least, mobs are not attacking the baby animals, or the adult ones, unless you tame them.
Natural Baby Animals mod requires Minecraft forge to work. It is a must that the correct version is installed for your game. The current version needed for the mod is 1.12.2.
The Natural Baby Animals mod doesn’t have control over its spawn rate yet, though many wanted it. It had to be stuck with 50% for the time being.
Having the options of lowering or raising these values in the game would make things more interesting, and the author might be working on it already.
Natural Baby Animals mod is targeted for people who wanted a little touch of realism to their game. It is made for people who like cute, miniature versions of the animals roaming around the world. They will surely feel inclined to download this mod. It is indeed adorable, and it makes the gameplay a little more interesting and attractive at the same time.
