Advanced Inventory Mod Overview
Advanced Inventory Mod 1.12.2/1.11.2 lets you upgrade your inventory with up to six areas that consist of 9 slots each. It gives you many customizations for your inventory adding both more space and more functionality. There are 6 upgrades that each unlock a new slot. You can simply craft the emerald upgrade to unlock all slots at once or go in intervals. In addition to that, you can add functionality to them by adding special items like filters or crafters to them. The mod is still in an early stage, so be sure to see more features soon. To get started you need to craft an inventory upgrade and put it in the slot below the crafting area. You can open the advanced inventory using the ‘R’ key.
In order to open the advanced inventory, you just have to tap the “R” key. With each new slot you can also craft modifiers that give specific slots new abilities. The Item provider is a great addition that will replace any item you direct it to. So essentially you can set it to replace your tools as they deplete but you can also set it to replace building blocks if you’re placing many of the same blocks in a row.
Advanced Inventory adds a very useful item crafter, wich is an awesome way to speed up crafting of items you need regularly. Say you often craft ladders or rails and don’t feel like constantly making the recipe. Just set the recipe in the crafter settings and keep that slot stocked with the necessary items. Then just click the item you want and it will auto-craft it for you. The recipe stays there as long as you want it to and you can set up to 9 different recipes per modifier.
You can either have it replace the default inventory or open it with an additional key. When the Advanced Inventory Mod is intalled, the key is always active but you can use the checkbox in the bottom-left to make it replace the default inventory. Shift clicking items from the main inventory to the boxes will be included in the next update. Hadn’t much luck making inventory tweaks sort the expanded boxes yet. However you will be able to sort your main inventory in the next udpate of Advanced Inventory.
